Help us to mitigate the spread of COVID at GA 2023

We are delighted to host most of our attendees in person at TU Dublin with almost 600 delegates registered. Due to the numbers attending and an increase globally in positive COVID cases, we would like to mitigate the spread of COVID as much as possible.  Please read the following information before attending in person.

If you have any symptoms of COVID, we ask please do not attend the conference. At this point, we can transfer your attendance to online participation.

If you are feeling unwell – what to do

In the event that you become ill, DO NOT ATTEND THE CONFERENCE.  Please stay in your accommodation and refer to the HSE website for information about what you should do next

If experiencing breathing difficulties, or seriously ill, you should call an ambulance (dial 999 or 112)

Staying safe at the conference

Before you travel

We strongly encourage all participants to test before travelling to the conference and you should not travel if your test is positive.

Please ensure that you have checked with your airline to understand their policies regarding COVID-19 and have adequate travel insurance in place.

Please ensure you have taken the time to read all of the latest advice about travel to Ireland. You can find this information here.

At the conference

There are no legal COVID-19 restrictions in place in Ireland during GA 2023 [].  However, to ensure everyone’s safety, and with the purpose of making everyone comfortable at the conference, please carefully consider the following if you are attending in person:

  • We encourage you to bring and wear a mask during plenary and parallel sessions.

  • Hand sanitisers area available at the entrance to all buildings, we encourage you to use and to regularly wash your hand.

  • A limited number of masks and antigen tests will be available at the registration desk.

  • Limited seating will be available outside during breaks, however this may not always be usable in wet weather.

Plan ahead to return home

Please ensure you know the COVID-19 testing requirements for return travel back into your country of origin.  The requirements are available on your Government website.

If you need a PCR test to travel home, you can book one here:

We hope you enjoy the conference and remain COVID free.
